La roche-posay sunscreen review

Price: PS13.50

Volume: 50ml

Made In: France

What is it? : An SPF50+ Sun Fluid/Cream

The Brand Speaks: This SPF keeps your skin nourished and protected. It is lightweight and airy, spreading easily on the skin without looking heavy or greasy. Keep your skin moisturized and protected. This SPF is specially designed for sensitive skin and offers high protection.

Important: This SPF also contains PPD 46 (Persistent pigment darkening). This is because La Roche Posay has a patent technology called Mexoplex, which should prevent dark spots and getting darker.

  • This SPF is designed to last for a long period of time on skin and not be affected by sweat or sand. It is also water-resistant. It should not leave white marks on clothing.

It doesn’t seem like the SPF slides around on skin, which I agree with. Although I didn’t notice any marks on clothes, I did notice some sweaty spots on my towel while I worked out.

All Skin Types Supposedly Great for

Packaging As you can see in the image below, this tube is squeezey and has a tip that allows for precise application. The product also has a small ball that rattles when shaken. The cap can be screwed on.

Directions “Apply 30 minutes prior to exposure, and then reapply generously every 2 hours. This will ensure protection during swimming, perspiring, and towelling. Before use, shake well. Avoid direct sunlight during the hottest part of the day. Children under three years old should be kept out of direct sunlight.

What I do with it: I apply it in the morning before I start working out. It doesn’t sting or ball up, so I can wear it under a sweat mask or when I’m exercising. It is important to apply two layers, especially if you are using a sun fluid (thinner texture).

What is White Cast? This does not provide a white cast (organic/chemical SPF).

Sunscreen Filters: Drometrizole Trisiloxane (Mexoryl Xl) (7%), Bemotrizinol (5%), Octisalate (5%), Octocrylene (5%), Avobenzone (3%), Homosalate (2%), Ensulizole (0.5%)

Full Ingredients: Aqua / Water, Alcohol Denat., Diisopropyl Sebacate, Silica, Isopropyl Myristate, Ethylhexyl SalicylateEthylhexyl Triazone, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Butyl, Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Glycerin, C12-22 Alkyl Acrylate/Hydroxyethylacrylate Copolymer Propanediol, Drometrizole Trisiloxane, Perlite, Tocopherol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose Terephthalylidene Dicamphor Sulfonic Acid, Triethanolamine, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate.

NOTE: The Incidecoder has a complete ingredient breakdown.

This product contains Denatured Alcohol. However, I understand it is very common in Sun Fluids because it keeps the texture light and layerable (prevents it from balling up). You can apply a moisturiser under the alcohol if you are concerned about it drying your skin. Personally, I don’t think this SPF is drying.
