Cass McCombs - Dreams-Come-True-Girl (featuring Karen Black)

After seeing this dude's name pop up on a few end of year lists I decided to check him out and I'm glad I did. Singer-songwriters tend to be a little too whiney for me but Cass has got it nailed. He's a little folky and a little country, but there's also something that separates him from the rest of the genre... maybe a bit of Morrissey in him or something? Anyway here's the opening track from his album 'Catacombs', which features Karen Black (who was the babe in Easy Rider!). This is my love song dedication for 2009...
