The Morning Benders - Excuses

Wow. This makes me want to drop everything and start a band.

The Art Museums - Paris Cafes

You can't judge a book by it's cover but you often can with a great record. Most of my favourite albums have really cool covers and this mini LP by The Art Museums is no different. It's a shiny happy take on English post-punk, only set in 2010 San Francisco. Highly recommended!

Cats & Plants

I found out about Stephen Eichhorn's Cats & Plants collages through the always awesome Kitsune Noir.

Like my obsession with the Selleck Waterfall Sandwich site a few weeks back, this one is pretty self explanatory.

Cats n Plants. Together at last!

Caribou - Odessa

The new Caribou album Swim is mind-numbingly good. I have now listened to it three times in a row without stopping, and am showing no signs of stopping. Get your grubby paws on it whenever you can!

Little People

Sorry it's been so long between blog posts... I've been busy putting together the new range not to mention getting hitched! Anyway, after being cast out of the internet wilderness for a while I have ventured back in and found so much cool stuff, so expect plenty of updates from now on.

First up is a project called Little People, which is basically little handpainted people, left to fend for themselves on the streets of London. It's such a sweet little idea... check out more photos at their site.

Shwood Sunglasses

My lovely lady friend bought me a pair of these Shwood sunglasses for Christmas, and I've been getting comments left right and centre ever since. They're handcrafted from actual wood, in a variety of grains and a couple of basic styles (including the wayfarer style which I have, below). At the risk of no longer being the only guy in town with a pair of these bad boys, I thought I'd share them with you because they're such a great product. Even the packaging was cool. They're only $95US and you can grab them from their online store.

Keenan Marshall Keller's "Galactic Breakdown"

I bought a whole stack of zines from the legends at Drippy Bone Books the other day, and one in particular blew me away. Keenan Marshall Keller, who has done some tee designs for us in the past (and hopefully the future), has created the most kickass, gorey, roided-up comic book I've ever read. "Galactic Breakdown" is about a meat head called Wally Beef aka Roids, who unwittingly gets beamed into space, and has to bust some skulls to get his way home.

Hit up their myspace to see more images and get in touch with them to get your hands on a copy. Truuust me.

The Strange Boys - Be Brave

This is the first single from the latest album of the same name, by Austin's The Strange Boys. More of the same killer psychedelic garage tunes as last year's stomper, And Girls Club.

Make sure you get your grubby hands on this when it comes out.

Liam The Younger - Ode To Then

Okay so I'm almost three years late with this one, but better late than never huh. There's pretty much next to no information I can track down on Liam The Younger, other than that he's a dude who plays really stripped down bedroom folk. Usually if I see those words to describe music, especially if the word "minimilastic" makes an appearance, I just assume they mean "boring". But this is really great!

And what's even better is that you can download this album (2007's After The Graveyard) as well as 2008's Clear Skies Over Black River at Brave Men Run for FREE.
